Emory women win national title in tennis

For the second time in three seasons and the seventh time in program history, the Emory University women’s tennis team has won the NCAA Division III National Championship.

The Eagles rallied for a 5-4 victory over Williams College Wednesday afternoon at Stowe Stadium in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

The Eagles trailed 4-3 in the match before senior Madison Gordon won her match 7-5, 6-0 and junior Michelle Satterfield clinched the title with a 6-2, 6-3 win.

Emory finishes the season with a 28-5 record, including a 22-1 mark against Division III opponents.
