The Hawks added to their collection of wing prospects by signing rookie Jaylen Morris to a multi-year contract on Wednesday. Morris had played for the Hawks on the maximum allowable two 10-day contracts.

Morris, 22, has played six games for the Hawks with averages of 16.3 minutes, 4.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists. He hasn’t played since suffering an ankle injury during a game against the Bulls on March 11.

Morris wasn’t selected in the 2017 draft out of Molloy College of NCAA Division II. He had played 39 games for the Hawks’ G-League affiliate in Erie (Pa.).

The Hawks now have six shooting guards and small forwards under contract for next season: Morris, Kent Bazemore, Taurean Prince, DeAndre’ Bembry, Tyler Dorsey and Antonius Cleveland. Morris, Dorsey and Cleveland are rookies this season while Prince and Bembry are second-year players.

The Hawks also have two other rookie wing players under contract this season: Andrew White is on a two-way deal and Damion Lee currently is on his first 10-day contract.
