The Atlanta Dream have begun preparing for their 12th WNBA season with the opening of training camp at Georgia State.

The Dream return reigning WNBA Coach of the Year Nicki Collen and 10 members from its 2018 playoff team.

Atlanta will start its preseason schedule with a two-day tournament — Monday, May 13, and Tuesday, May 14 — at Mohegan Sun Arena that will feature Dallas, New York and Connecticut.

They will closeup exhibition play against the Washington Mystics Friday, May 17, in Albany, Ga.

Missing the start of camp are guard Tiffany Hayes and forwards Haley Peters and Elizabeth Williams. Also out is All-Star Angel McCoughtry, who is still recovering from a knee injury she suffered late in 2018.

The Dream regular season tips off at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 24, against the Dallas Wings at State Farm Arena.
