The Braves recalled Patrick Weigel and Wes Parsons to join the bullpen before Friday’s game against Washington.

The duo replaced Kyle Wright and Touki Toussaint, who absorbed the bulk of blows in Thursday’s 13-4 loss.

Weigel, 25, will make his major league debut when he appears. Coming off Tommy John surgery, the towering righty has a 3.43 ERA in 11 games with Triple-A Gwinnett.

Despite striking out 36, Weigel has issued 24 walks, and his inconsistent command has persisted as the primary problem through 44-2/3 frames in Gwinnett.

Weigel and Parsons add length to a bullpen that was shortened upon outfielder Ender Inciarte’s return, when the Braves elected to carry an additional position player over a reliever for the time being.
