Here are five things to know about Atlanta United this week:

1. The Five Stripes, which drew 1-1 with Portland on Sunday, will host Orlando on Saturday. It's true that the Lions wear purple. It's not true the shade of purple is to camouflage their ongoing choke job. At one point they had won six consecutive matches. They've lost seven consecutive since, which resulted in coach Jason Kreis' firing.

2. Atlanta United may be without influential midfielder Darlington Nagbe, who suffered a  "muscle" injury in the draw with the Timbers. Manager Gerardo Martino should know more when he meets with Nagbe, which is expected to be Wednesday.

3. Atlanta remains atop MLS with 33 points and Josef Martinez remains the front-runner to win the Golden Boot with 14 goals. Martinez wore a mask to protect his broken nose for about 60 minutes on Sunday. Eventually, he ripped it off and threw it into the stands. If you have it, snap a photo and send it to me droberson@ajc.com.

4. The week started well for the Five Stripes, which had six players voted into the MLS All-Star Fan XI. The game will be played Aug. 1 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The opponent? Just a little team from Italy that could fill up my house with trophies, Juventus.

5. How did Atlanta United get so many players on the All-Star squad. The format helped.
