Hawks legend Dominique Wilkins will receive the 2012 Lifetime Achievement Award during the Atlanta Sports Awards presentation Monday at the Fox Theatre.

Wilkins, the leading scorer in Hawks history, will be one of several athletes or coaches honored by the Atlanta Sports Council. Wilkins joins past Lifetime Achievement Award recipients Hank Aaron (2006), Vince Dooley (2007), Billy Payne (2008), Ted Turner (2009), Tom Cousins (2010) and Bobby Cox (2011).

Wilkins, a nine-time NBA All-Star, is one of four honorees already announced.

Lovett’s Cyrus Wilson and Roswell’s Jennifer Shults will receive the High School Scholar Athletes of the Year award. Hawks forward Al Horford has been named the Sports Person of the Year Award for his work in the community.

Finalists for the remaining awards are:

Coach of the Year: Grayson High football's Mickey Conn, the Atlanta Dream's Marynell Meadors and Georgia football's Mark Richt.

Collegiate Athlete of the Year: Georgia football player Jarvis Jones, Georgia Tech baseball player Mark Pope and Allison Schmitt, a member of Georgia's swimming and diving team.

High School Athlete of the Year: Grayson football player Robert Nkemdiche, Milton boys basketball player Shannon Scott and Walton tennis player Emily Zabor.

Professional Athlete of the Year: Horford, Braves pitcher Craig Kimbrel and Braves catcher Brian McCann.

Team of the Year: Atlanta Dream, Grayson football and Walton girls tennis.
