Atlanta Athletic Club chosen as site for pro tennis event

Feb 10, 2010The Atlanta Athletic Club has been chosen as the site of the 2010 Atlanta Tennis Championships scheduled for July 19-25. The Atlanta event will serve as the kick-off to the 2010 Olympus U.S. Open Series.
The event previously was played in Indianapolis. USTA Southern purchased the sanction for the ATP World Tour 250 tournament in December.
The USTA recognized the Atlanta Athletic Club as a National Tennis Facility of the Year in 2005. The facility also was voted the best in the state by the Georgia Professional Tennis Association in 1991.
