Georgia Tech reportedly will hire defensive assistant
Vinnie Sunseri was co-defensive coordinator at Florida for 2025 season.

3 hours agoGeorgia Tech and coach Brent Key will reportedly be adding a defensive assistant to the staff for the 2026 season.
CBS Sports reported Wednesday that Vinnie Sunseri is expected to be hired by Tech. Sunseri spent the 2025 season as co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach at Florida.
Sunseri won two national championships as a safety playing for Alabama in 2011 and 2012. The New Orleans Saints drafted Sunseri in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL draft.
After three seasons in the NFL, Sunseri began his coaching career a few years later as a graduate assistant in 2019 at his alma mater. He joined the New England Patriots from 2020-23 before joining the staff at Washington in 2024.
