A 60-year-old woman shopping at a department store in England fell over a balcony on Monday, but luckily landed onto a display bed 60 feet below.
According to The Guardian, the woman suffered only hip and spine injuries after she fell from the upper level of the John Lewis department store in Cheadle, which is in Greater Manchester County. The Guardian said her fall happened near glass balconies beside the store’s escalators.
Police said the incident is not being treated as an accident or a crime, and the woman avoided serious injuries when she fell on the bed. A store spokesman said officials were treating it as a “serious incident,” but they were “glad that the customer’s injuries are not thought to be serious.”
