Wrecks on I-285 North and I-85 South brought the Friday morning commute to a halt in DeKalb County.

At one point, delays were more than 80 minutes as a result of the crashes, according to the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center.

A rollover crash on the Perimeter’s Outer Loop at U.S. 78 around 6 a.m. took an hour to clear, which is about when a multivehicle wreck on I-85 South at North Druid Hills Road added to the backups.

In the first incident on I-285 North, a pickup truck ran off the interstate and flipped, trapping at least two people inside, according to the Traffic Center. Emergency crews blocked off multiple lanes while they worked to free the two occupants.

Their conditions were unknown Friday.

All lanes of I-85 South reopened about 7:45 a.m. after the other wreck, according to the Traffic Center. It is not known if anyone involved was injured.
