Online gallery: Scenes from southwest Georgia

Nov 27, 2023The Atlanta Journal-Constitution was on the scene this morning in southwest Georgia as the final journey for the late Rosalynn Carter began.
Carter, who died this month at 96 after battling dementia, began her final journey Monday where it started, in her native Southwest Georgia. Three days of memorial events are planned.

About the Authors
Hyosub Shin was born and raised in South Korea. Inspired by the work of National Geographic photographers, he came to the United States to study photography. He thought his time in the U.S. would be brief, but photography took him to California and eventually, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He took his oath of citizenship in 2017.
