Residential customers of the Cobb County Water System are invited to participate in a new Household Hazardous Waste Amnesty Day by Keep Cobb Beautiful this month.
The event will last from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 25 at Jim R. Miller Park, 2245 Callaway Road SW in Marietta.
Online preregistration is required by July 18.
This new Keep Cobb Beautiful program has limited private funding, so pre-registration may close before the deadline.
Accepted in limited quantities will be paint, mercury-containing devices, fluorescent tube bulbs, lawn care products, auto fluids, auto batteries, cleaners, oxidizers, flammables, cooking oil and chlorinated solvents.
No commercial customers will be permitted.
