A Gwinnett County Colombian restaurant failed its recent health inspection, with lax handwashing and poorly stored foods among the reported violations.
Las Delicias de la Abuela, located at 1630 Pleasant Hill Road in Duluth, got a 42/U on the Tuesday inspection.
According to the inspector's report, employees were seen "not changing gloves and washing hands between tasks, such as food preparation to picking up the sanitizer bucket back to handling food." Several employee food and beverages were also being stored alongside ready-to-eat items for customers.

The restaurant was also cited after the inspector found "several potentially hazardous foods" being stored at temperatures that were too warm, and several more not properly covered. Cooked rice was being held at improper temperatures as well, officials said.
Other violations included "several storage containers of spices and working condiment bottles [that] were not labeled with common food name."
Calls to Las Delicias de la Abuela went unanswered Wednesday afternoon. The restaurant also has a location on Buford Highway in Atlanta.
A follow-up inspection will be completed within 10 days of Tuesday's failing evaluation.
