‘Tis the season.

Smyrna’s Fall Jonquil Festival is coming to town Oct. 27 and 28. For the 21st year, scores of crafters and vendors will pack The Village Green downtown.

Even if you're a Cobb lifer, you may not know why this yellow flower demands a free two-day festival. Find out here.

The famous bulbs will of course be for sale.

There will be 175 booths with an array of activities: pushing art, peddling jewelry and promoting their local nonprofit.

And then there’s the fair fare: pizza, cotton candy, candy apples, corn dogs, ice cream, snow cones and barbecue.

If you’ve got a small human, the children’s Halloween costume parade is Saturday at 9 am. There are prizes for best costume in three age groups. The kiddos can also enjoy a play area with inflatable activities and sand art.

The fun runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
