Gwinnett County school board members are scheduled to hold their final meetings of the year Thursday.

Here are some things to watch for when the board holds its 3 p.m. work session and 7 p.m. voting meeting.

  • An oversight committee will discuss any recommended changes to the school district's Academic Knowledge and Skills curriculum.
  • A vote to spend about $2.6 million to hire companies to make improvements to heating and cooling units to 10 schools.
  • Details about a proposed Junior Achievement program at Norcross High School.
  • Picking the name for a new middle school in the Duluth area.

The meetings will be at the district’s headquarters, 437 Old Peachtree Road in Suwanee.
