Atlanta’s incoming school board learned from Superintendent Erroll Davis on Friday about making decisions with a focus on students.

Davis briefed the board on the school district’s strategic plan, core beliefs, division of power between the board and administration, graduation rates, policy implementation and effective management.

The newly elected Atlanta Board of Education takes office Monday, when representatives will be sworn in and then convene their monthly meeting.
