DeKalb County school Superintendent Cheryl Atkinson will host two “roundtable” events for parents in the county’s south side this week.

On Tuesday, she’ll be at Redan High School (5247 Redan Road, Stone Mountain) and on Thursday at Lithonia High (2440 Phillips Rd., Lithonia). Both meetings are 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The school system says parents can ask questions, learn about current issues and hear about new initiatives. Parents also will be asked to speak about parental engagement and desired changes in system communications.
