The Epstein School in Sandy Springs is seeking donations and volunteers to help with its award-winning sustainable educational garden and pond, used to teach students about the natural world, science and Judaic studies.

The National Wildlife Federation awarded the site with Certified Wildlife Habitat status in April 2009. The garden has continued to grow, as students tend it, most recently adding sunflowers. A donor also recently gave the garden an organic hydroponic tower that is growing tomatoes and basil.

The school is seeking more help. Contact Elisa Prager at eprager@epsteinatlanta.org.
