A record number of Gwinnett County Public Schools students will get to attend college for free this fall.
Eighteen Gwinnett students recently learned they are Gates Millennium Scholars. The scholarship program, funded by a grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, promotes academic excellence for outstanding non-white, low-income students, Gwinnett officials said.
