Pace Academy announced Monday that Syreeta Moseley will lead its lower school beginning this summer.

Mosely, a former third-grade teacher who most recently served as curriculum specialist for the Atlanta Speech School, said she will help children learn to read, write and solve problems as well as understand, interpret and respond to the emotions of others.

Mosely will oversee about 370 students and more than 60 faculty members at the Buckhead school when she succeeds longtime Head of Lower School Anna Valerius.
