Marietta Sixth Grade Academy wins “Save-A-Watt” challenge

Marietta Sixth Grade Academy recently won the Marietta City Schools’ “Save-A-Watt” energy challenge. The school reduced its energy use by 17 percent this past school year saving the district $32,000.

In 2009, the district partnered with Marietta Power & Water and Apogee Interactive, Inc. to work to lower electrical consumption through several conservation methods.
