Several colleges and universities in Georgia offer some of the nation's top online programs, according to rankings released Tuesday by U.S. News & World Report.

Here’s where those schools ranked among the top 50 in various categories:

Bachelor's degrees: University of Georgia was tied for 11th.

MBA: Georgia College was tied for 40th.

Master's business: University of Georgia was tied for fourth, Georgia College was tied for 17th, Georgia Southern University was 50th.

Master's education: University of Georgia was fifth and Georgia State University was tied for 35th.

Nursing: Georgia College was tied for 28th and the University of West Georgia was tied for 31st.

Information Technology: Kennesaw State University was tied for 36th, the University of West Georgia and Middle Georgia State University were among 14 schools tied for 45th.
