Fifty men and women became United States citizens Monday during a ceremony at Georgia Piedmont Technical College’s campus in DeKalb County.

“It’s been a long road for many of you - but, you’re about to become U.S. citizens,”  said Kevin Riddle, Atlanta Field Office director of the Department of Homeland Security’s U. S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, who conducted the program, told the candidates.

“You will share the same rights and responsibilities as other Americans,” he added.

The ceremony was part of the college’s 14th annual Constitution Day and U.S. Citizenship observances.
