The Atlanta Braves are donating $30,000 to provide snacks for Atlanta pre-kindergarteners for the entire year.

Officials from the baseball team plan to present the check Friday at Boyd Elementary School. The money will pay for a year’s worth of snacks for youngsters who are enrolled in pre-kindergarten programs at 17 schools, according to Atlanta Public Schools.

The Braves said the program will provide healthy snacks for more than 540 children, according to a news release.
