Flippen Elementary in McDonough held its 5th annual Pink Out Day on Friday in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Students and faculty wore as much pink as possible while participating in activities to support the theme “Raise Awareness”. Many faculty members sported new pink shirts that they purchased to help a family currently affected by cancer. The halls were decorated with balloon cutouts adorned with students and faculty names and personalized decorations. Everyone participated in the creation of a huge pink awareness ribbon and a balloon release.
