Gwinnett Police announced Wednesday they have recovered the pickup truck that detectives suspect was stolen during a robbery-murder but they still haven’t arrested any suspects.
The distinctive 2005 Dodge Ram “Rumblebee” edition that police on Monday asked the public for help in locating was found Tuesday night, said Cpl. Jake Smith.
“The vehicle was unoccupied and had been partially stripped,” Smith said. “Several tipsters have called in and detectives are now following up on those leads. They have not named suspects at this point.”
The police have been investigating since Saturday when they found Brian Whitfield, 45, shot to death in the driveway of his home at 1735 Flowery Branch Road near Auburn.
