“Giant” lottery ticket brings $750,000 to Griffin man

Aug 9, 2013A textile worker from Griffin won the $750,000 top prize playing the new instant game Giant Jumbo Bucks – Anniversary Edition.
“I played because it was a new ticket,” said Darriel Driver, 51. “I was very excited.”
Driver received an oversized check Thursday at Spalding Beverage, 802 Everee Inn Road in Griffin, where the winning ticket was purchased.
Driver has two children and two stepchildren with his wife, Barbara.
“I’m going to buy a new house and new cars for myself and my wife,” he said.
