A blind exchange student from Sierra Leone came to Boise, Idaho to learn, but he'll leave being able to see.
Joseph Sesay's favorite song is "Amazing Grace" because he also was once blind, but now can see.
Just days after surgery to remove congenital cataracts, he is still discovering the world.
Sesay is seeing things he'd imagined but never saw, including himself.
"Yellow, red, green, blue – I'm seeing them brighter than I thought they should be," he said.
Sesay is eager to learn how to read, to see the face of his parents and is overwhelmed at the prospect of seeing him homeland.
He says he wants to be a teacher and maybe even president of Sierra Leone.
