A senior class took a stroll down memory lane this week, and ended up inspiring some of the youngest students along the way.

On Tuesday, the senior class in Texas' Van Independent School District put on their caps and gowns and walked the halls of the elementary and middle schools.

"I never knew how much of an influence we had on the younger kids," said graduating senior Ashley Mosley. "But seeing their faces light up as we walked through their halls and high fived them, it really put it in perspective for me. It's something I'll never forget."

The school hopes to make the walk an annual tradition.

"It's exciting for our younger kids to see where they will be in just a few short years," the district wrote on Facebook.
