Three teenage boys on a Sunday night joyride in a stolen car hit two pedestrians when they ran a red light, Atlanta police told Channel 2 Action News.

The teens, including two 13-year-old boys, ran the light at the intersection of Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard and Lee Street about 9:30 p.m. The car careened into two people before hitting another vehicle, the news station reported.

The vehicle the boys were driving was reported stolen, police said.

Officers responding to the crash detained the two 13-year-olds. They were taken Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston to be treated for their injuries, which police do not consider life-threatening.

The pedestrians were also taken to an area hospital and are expected to be OK. The driver of the other vehicle refused transport.

The third teenage boy is still on the run Monday morning. An investigation is ongoing.

No officers or suspects were hurt, police said.
