A 17-year-old has been arrested in connection with the recent death of a 19-year-old outside a Cobb County shopping center, Marietta police said Tuesday.

Je’Marquise Wright, 17, was the second teenager arrested in the shooting. Mekhi Ahmad Hilali, 18, of Dallas, was arrested May 2.

Both are accused of killing Tyon Gorman on April 27 on Bells Ferry Road, police said.

During Wright’s arrest, police said they found multiple weapons and narcotics in his possession. He’s charged with murder, aggravated assault and aggravated assault with intent to murder, but additional charges are pending, police said.

Hilali was charged with murder, aggravated assault, aggravated battery and possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime, Cobb jail records show. He was also charged with gang participation for an unrelated incident, police said.

The investigation into the shooting death is ongoing.
