An 18-year-old has been arrested and accused of shooting and killing a man outside a Cobb County shopping center, Marietta police said Thursday.

Mekhi Ahmad Hilali of Dallas is accused of killing Tyon Gorman early Friday evening on Bells Ferry Road, according to police. He was arrested Wednesday night and charged with murder, aggravated assault, aggravated battery and possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime, Cobb jail records showed. Hilali was also charged with gang participation for an unrelated incident, according to police.

Investigators also want to question 17-year-old Je’marquis Wright. Anyone with information on Wright’s whereabouts is asked to contact Marietta police or Crime Stoppers Atlanta.

Hilali was being held Thursday without bond. The investigation into the shooting death continues.

Marietta police said when they arrived at the crime scene, they found a black man lying in the parking lot.
