A “Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast member said he believes he was racially profiled by a police officer who handcuffed him and accused him of stealing a $4 chicken sandwich.
“She thought I was a bold and brash criminal,” Dennis McKinley told Channel 2 Action News.
McKinley is the CEO of a business conglomerate Detroit Equities site, which runs the Atlanta-based businesses Cru Hookah Lounge and the Original Hot Dog Factory. He is perhaps best known for his relationship with former fiancee Porsha Williams, also of "Real Housewives" fame. The couple split in June, AJC.com previously reported.

The reality star was at Emory University Hospital in Midtown for a routine checkup, he told Channel 2. He said an officer approached him after he bought a sandwich from the hospital cafeteria.
“I grabbed a sandwich and I put it in my bag and she says, ‘Hey, do you have a receipt for that?’” he said.
McKinley told Channel 2 he tried to show the officer the receipt, but she never looked at it.
“Put one hand on her weapon and one hand on her handcuffs and I’m like, ‘Wow, you’re about to shoot me for a sandwich.’”

McKinley said the officer put him in handcuffs. A cellphone video shows him sitting with his hands cuffed behind his back.
Soon, a second officer arrived at the scene, the news station reported. McKinley said the second officer looked at the receipt, spoke with the cashier and let him go.
McKinley said the first officer didn’t say anything to him as she left.
“If you look at the end of the video, she didn’t say two words, she didn’t apologize,” he said.
An Emory representative said hospital officials are looking into the incident, Channel 2 reported.
