NEW: Teen killed in weekend shooting in northwest Atlanta

Atlanta police are asking anyone with information on a 19-year-old’s fatal shooting to come forward.
Rodney Lowe was shot Saturday night at the intersection of Joseph E. Boone Boulevard and Archer Way in northwest Atlanta, according to Atlanta police. When officers arrived just before 10:30 p.m., they found Lowe in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the chest.
He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
His death is being investigated as a homicide, Atlanta police spokeswoman Officer Lisa Bender said.
On Sunday, family and friends gathered to honor Lowe at a vigil near the site of the shooting. They released balloons and lit candles in the teen’s memory.

“At this time we are asking anyone who has any information on this case to contact Crime Stoppers,” Bender said.
