UPDATE [11:30 a.m.]: Atlanta City Hall has resumed operations, according to a city official.

ORIGINAL STORY: Atlanta City Hall is still without air conditioning Tuesday morning, which is expected to delay the building's opening by two hours, city officials said.

The air conditioning outage forced City Hall to close early Monday afternoon with the hope it would be fixed by the start of business at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

“Due to a continuing air-conditioning service problem, the Atlanta City Hall building will open two hours late today,” officials said just before 7:30 a.m. in a tweet. “Meetings and other events will be postponed and rescheduled accordingly.”

All other city of Atlanta operations conducted outside the building will open at regular hours Tuesday.

The city is asking residents to monitor the ATL311 and City of Atlanta social media accounts for more information on city services throughout the morning.
