The clouds and drizzle that have defined Atlanta’s weather the past few days are on their way out this weekend.
By the time costumed kids head out for Halloween festivities Sunday night, all this dreary, wet weather will be a thing of the past, according to Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brian Monahan. There remains a 40% chance of a shower Saturday morning, but Monahan said it should be much drier by the time the Braves take the field for Game 4 of the World Series against the Houston Astros. First pitch is slated for 8:09 p.m.
“I do not think there will be any rain impacts for the Braves game on Saturday night,” Monahan said.
It will be drier at the ballpark, if not warmer. Like for Friday’s Game 3, temperatures are expected to be in the low 50s Saturday night, which would beat out the 1999 Braves-Yankees opener at Turner Field for the coolest World Series game ever played in Atlanta.

Things are really looking up Sunday, just in time for trick-or-treating and what could be a series-deciding Game 5 at Truist Park. A mix of sun and clouds and a high of 65 degrees are in the forecast.
“Sunday, that is your best day this weekend as we wind down October, and hopefully wind down a Braves World Series win on Sunday night,” Monahan said. “Should be beautiful weather.”
He expects temperatures to drop back into the low 60s to upper 50s during prime candy grabbing hours.

Expect congestion to pick up around the ballpark beginning at 4 p.m. both days this weekend. To alleviate some traffic, the Georgia Department of Transportation has suspended lane closures on I-285 between Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway and Ga 400, and on I-75 from Moores Mill Road to I-575.
The restrictions will be in place on game days until midnight driving toward the stadium and until 3 a.m. driving away, according to the state agency.
