Dear readers,
Among the joys of travel is the experience that you and your family can create after you’ve arrived at your destination. Another joy is to see a familiar destination in new and unexpected ways. Perhaps you’ve driven to Florida, but your road trip didn’t extend to the Overseas Highway. Or maybe you’ve taken a walk along a beach, but never along a cliff.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is proud to bring you the Experience the Journey, a resource with 35 destinations, including Georgia and the Southeast, the West Coast and Caribbean.
This guide will provide you with exciting ways to experience cities and towns across the nation, and to perhaps make new memories.
Our journalists will show you different kinds of flights, from hot air ballooning and ziplining. And for those travelers who prefer to stay on the ground, we’ll take you to the Smoky Mountains by rail, and through the streets of Savannah on foot.
