The Riverbend Festival is celebrating a 35-year anniversary on June 10-18 (200 Riverfront Parkway, Chattanooga). Each evening, the shows begin after 5 p.m., leaving the daytime free to explore Chattanooga. The city has a multitude of opportunities for shopping, outdoor recreation and site-seeing. The lineup includes 38 Special, Trampled by Turtles, Hawk Nelson, Permagroove, Peterson Brothers Band and Blood, Sweat, and Tears featuring Bo Bice, plus many more.
General admission tickets for the entire 9-day event that are purchased online in advance cost $40 with a $3 delivery charge plus tax. This gives admission to the festival every night except for The Bessie Smith Strut on June 13. General admission ticket price will increase to $55 once the festival begins on June 10. Children under 10 years old are admitted for free with an adult.
A single day admission to the festival will cost $25 at the gate and are not being sold early. A military or senior (60+) single day admission ticket will cost $15 at the gate.
Overnight accommodations are available at partnering hotels and area campgrounds.
The annual BlueCross Riverbend Run & Walk begins at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 11 with options to do a 10K, 5K or 1-mile distance. Early bird race registration costs vary depending on the distance chosen by participants. Benefits of the race will be given to the Children's Hospital at Erlanger.
Make the most of your visit to Chattanooga and go zip lining or take a tour of the caverns at Ruby Falls. You may also want to see Rock City along the way.
