If you dig trips to gorgeous island beaches or perhaps planning a honeymoon or special celebration getaway, here’s a pair of rare airfare deals that will help you save on the travel budget. But hurry, as these offers do not have a ticket-by date (the deals could vanish at anytime!).
American Airlines gets you to St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands for $350.40 round-trip on travel completed on or before Nov. 8, 2013. Go as soon as this week as an advance purchase notice is not required. The rate is valid on any day of the week with the exception of these blackout dates: Dec. 20-23, 26-30; Jan. 1-3 south; Dec. 21-23, 26-30; Jan. 1-10, 12 north. There are no minimum of maximum stay requirements. American serves St. Thomas with one flight connection in Miami.
Round-trip rates to Honolulu, Oahu are sale priced at $660 with USAirways. There are no gotchas — no advance purchase is needed (go now!) and there are no blackout dates. Finish trips on or before Nov. 8, 2013. Routing requires one flight connection in Phoenix.
Sale airfares are always subject to change. Every seat on every flight is not offered at the lowest rate. Since only a limited supply of seats is available, act quickly to make your purchase.
I recommend starting the search for available seats at Kayak.com vs. calling an airline directly. You can also search for the sale at travel websites such as Expedia, Orbitz or Travelocity, etc. Airlines can discontinue or pull a sale price without notice when the offer does not have a “ticket-by” date or when the offer is deemed “sold out.”
