It will be a sweet summer in San Francisco.

The wildly popular Museum of Ice Cream is extending its run yet again. You can immerse yourself in icy-creamy goodness and flop into that pool of sprinkles anytime between now and Sept. 3. Tickets for the latest extension went on sale last week.

And there are new whimsical art installations at the show — a Mint Jungle and Carnival — providing new selfie options.

The museum is open six days a week (closed Tuesdays), and advance tickets are required.

After selling out runs in New York and Los Angeles, the exhibit came to San Francisco last September. The first round of tickets sold out in 18 minutes.

What’s the appeal (besides the ice cream samples) of the theme park-like exhibit?

“It’s like Willy Wonka married Mary Kay in Victoria’s Secret, moved to a house on a Candyland game board and adopted the Pink Panther, My Little Pony and Hello Kitty as pets,” our reviewer Angela Hill wrote when the museum opened.

BTW, you don’t have to worry about those sprinkles ending up on a sundae at the finale of your visit. They’re plastic.

Details: Tickets, which are not transferable, cost $38 each for ages 3 and up. They include numerous ice cream tastings. The museum is located at 1 Grant Ave. in San Francisco. Tickets: www.museumoficecream.com.

Donald Trump's administration deployed the military to Washington, D.C., in the name of fighting crime, and in an Aug. 11 news conference he mentioned the possibility of military being sent to other large American cities, all of which are led by Black, Democratic mayors. And while Atlanta wasn't included in Trump's list, the city fits that profile under Mayor Andre Dickens. (Photo Illustration: Philip Robibero / AJC | Source: Getty)
