Fly round-trip to Salt Lake City for $138

American Airlines offers the travel deal of the day with a round-trip rate of just $138 to Salt Lake City, Utah. This is a fantastic year-round vacation destination -- especially during the winter season for some of the best boarding and skiing in the nation.

With five National Parks and Monument Valley, Utah is America's national parks capital. The parks include Arches National Park; Bryce Canyon National Park; Canyonlands National Park; Capitol Reef National Park; Zion National Park and Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park. The state also claims the North Rim of Grand Canyon National Park, since it is best accessed through southern Utah. In addition, Mesa Verde National Park is just across the border in Colorado and Great Basin National Park is situated at the Nevada border.

Many of these parks are close in distance which could make for a Grand Circle road trip adventure.

To qualify for the $138 round-trip airline ticket ($180.80 including all taxes and fees), give at least a two-week advance notice of travel. This sale rate is not valid on Fridays, Sundays or Nov. 19, 20, 23, 24, 27-29; Dec. 17-24, 26-30; Jan. 2, 3. Trips must be finished on or before June 29, 2011.

Sale fares listed here are subject to change. Every seat on every flight is not offered at the lowest rate. Since only a limited supply of seats is available, act quickly to make your purchase. I recommend starting the search for available seats at vs. calling an airline directly. You can also search for the sale at travel Web sites such as Expedia or Travelocity, etc. Airlines can discontinue or pull a sale price without notice when the offer is deemed "sold out," or when that rate does not have a "ticket-by" date.
