THE FIVE SISTERS BLUES CAFÉ
It’s not a juke joint, but gritty, powerful blues music is as much a part of this cafe as soul food staples like fried chicken and stewed collard greens. Close your eyes, and you could be in the heart of the Delta instead of a historic downtown neighborhood in Pensacola. Bands play Thursday through Sunday. On Sunday, the genre switches from blues to jazz for the Sunday Jazz Brunch.

COPPER BLUES ROCK PUB & KITCHEN
In his hit “Old Time Rock and Roll,” Bob Seger crooned about his nostalgia for the good old days of rock music. Maybe he should grab a beer at Copper Blues Rock Pub & Kitchen, where it feels like the classic rock bands have indeed taken “those old records off the shelf.” Of course, there’s no need for anybody to “listen to ‘em by myself” since the place is packed Wednesday to Saturday when live music rocks the house. More than 60 beers are on tap, and the menu goes beyond typical bar fare.

LITTLE ROOM JAZZ CLUB
This swanky listening room in Key West is where jazz lovers can come hear cool cats riff away any day of the week. Wednesday is “Women in Music” night, an evening where local and guest female musicians have the stage all to themselves. Beer, wine and a short list of cocktails are served with small bites.
