Honeymooners! Beach and sun lovers! Getting to one of the most beautiful Caribbean islands, Providenciales of the Turks and Caicos, is suddenly affordable with a today-only offer from American Airlines. But do not delay on a ticket purchase. This sale does not have a ticket-by date -- meaning that this offer is fleeting and bound to disappear before the end of today (4/27).

American Airlines has reduced the base round-trip rate to get to Providenciales (city code: PLS) to just $288. This rate is valid on Monday-Thursday travel, yet weekend round-trip rates are only $10 higher, or $298.

Rules require a two-week advance notice of travel. Plan to stay at least any two nights (no maximum stay limit).

This great sale rate is valid on trips taken on or before March 23, 2012. However, year-end holidays are included in the blackout list. Sale rates are not permitted on Dec. 15-24, 26-30 south and Dec. 26-31 or Jan. 1-8 north.

American serves Providenciales daily via its Miami hub.

Factor in all surcharges, taxes and fees for a ticket total of $508.60. If you think that's a high number, compare it to Delta's lowest round-trip of $745.

Sale airfares are always subject to change. Every seat on every flight is not offered at the lowest rate. Since only a limited supply of seats is available, act quickly to make your purchase. I recommend starting the search for available seats at Kayak.com vs. calling an airline directly. You can also search for the sale at travel Web sites such as Expedia or Travelocity, etc. Airlines can discontinue or pull a sale price without notice when the offer is deemed "sold out,"or when that rate does not have a "ticket-by" date.
