Ole Miss beat Tulane 41-10 on Friday in the first round of the College Football Playoff on Saturday, advancing to face Georgia in the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 1 in New Orleans.

Texas coach Steve Sarkisian hopes that hiring Will Muschamp, who spent the last four seasons with Georgia, will help the Longhorns figure out how to beat the Bulldogs.

Will Muschamp, who has been at Georgia since 2021 and served in an unspecified role this season, has been hired as defensive coordinator at Texas.

Texas hired former Georgia assistant Will Muschamp as the team's defensive coordinator. Muschamp served as an on-field assistant for the Bulldogs from 2021-2023.
