A shootout ended in the United States favor Thursday as Jocelyne Lamoureux-Davidson scored in the sixth round of a shootout against rival Canada to take home the gold in PyeongChang.

Goalkeeper Maddie Rooney blocked the last two Canadians to attempt to score in the shootout, winning the game, 3-2.

With the win, the US women defeated Canada for their first gold since 1998, ended Canada’s steak of four-straight Olympic gold medals and Canada’s 24-game Olympic win streak.
