San Francisco 49ers Marquise Goodwin fell to his knees and broke down in the end zone during Sunday’s win against the New York Giants.

Initially, fans could think it was because the 49ers haven’t tasted success in 13-straight regular season games, but something bigger was happening.

Goodwin scored on an 83-yard pass from quarterback C.J. Beathard in the second quarter.

After the 49ers 31-21 win, Goodwin posted on Instagram and revealed that his unborn child died.

“Unfortunately we lost our baby boy due to some complications, and had to prematurely deliver him early this morning around 4 a.m.,”  Goodwin wrote. “Although we are hurt, I am grateful for the experience and grateful that God blessed me with a wife as courageous and resilient as Morgan. The pain (physically, mentally and emotionally) that she has endured is unbelievable.”
