A temporary restraining order filed against former NFL player Shannon Sharpe has been dismissed, according to the Fulton County Sheriff's Office.

A woman filed a restraining order against Shannon Sharpe last week in Fulton County Superior Court, claiming the TV analyst forced her to have sex, stalks her and threatens her life, according to court records.

Sharpe was served with the protective order Monday, the sheriff's office said. On Wednesday, a deputy served an order of dismissal.

Details about why the restraining order was dismissed were not available.

Sharpe played tight end for the Denver Broncos and the Baltimore Ravens after his college career at Savannah State. He retired after the 2003 season, and works as an analyst for CBS. Sharpe announced a leave of absence until the case is settled.
