The Atlanta 10 Miler on Sunday will give runners a second chance to conquer Cardiac Hill.
Cardiac Hill, a stretch on Peachtree Road that rises 12 stories in elevation in less than a mile, is a feature of the annual Peachtree Road Race.
During the 10 Miler, the men’s and women’s runners with the fastest times up the hill will receive the titles King and Queen of Cardiac Hill, as well as a gift bag from Mizuno, the title sponsor. The fastest 100 up Cardiac Hill will also receive a gift. During the Cardiac challenge, the runners will be timed starting at the bottom of the hill, not from the starting line of the race to the top of the hill.
The race is in its second year but will feature a new course that starts and ends at Atlantic Station. Registration ends today. Go to www.atlantatrackclub.org for more information.
