Kennesaw State’s Jordan Gray, Andre Dorsey to compete in USA Track and Field Outdoor Championships

Kennesaw State’s Jordan Gray and Andre Dorsey will compete in the USA Track and Field Outdoor Championships for a chance at qualifying for the IAAF World Championships.

The Outdoor Championships will be held at Sacramento State’s Hornet Stadium from June 24-25. Gray or Dorsey must finish in the top three in their respective events to qualify for the IAAF World Championships in London, England from Aug. 5-13.

Gray, who was one of two Kennesaw State athletes to compete in the NCAA Track and Field Championships earlier in June, will compete in the heptathlon from June 24-25. The redshirt sophomore from Ball Ground, Ga. finished seventh in the heptathlon final at the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon on June 10-11.

Dorsey, a redshirt senior from Chalmette, La., will compete in the finals of the long jump on June 25. Dorsey qualified for the finals after he jumped of 7.94 meters at the Torrin Lawrence Memorial Meet in Athens, Ga. on May 6.

The 2017 USATF Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be broadcast on NBC and NBC Sports at the times listed below.
