Two more out for Atlanta United at Revolution

Neither fullback George Bello nor midfielder Kevin Kratz will be available for Atlanta United (0-2-2) for Saturday's MLS game at New England.

Bello (groin) has been working individually with a trainer this week and could return next week, according to manager Frank de Boer.

Kratz may still be out for another four weeks.

“He’s struggling with his calf,” de Boer said.

Other players who won't be available Saturday are striker Brandon Vazquez (undisclosed) and midfielder Mikey Ambrose (knee). De Boer said Vazquez may start running again Friday.

Fullback Franco Escobar (groin) has returned from his injury and is available Saturday.

“He’s doing really well and is ready to start if selected for the team,” de Boer said.

De Boer confirmed that Michael Parkhurst, who normally is a centerback, has worked out at fullback because of the lack of depth at that position.

“”He already played four years at the position so he knows the role,” de Boer said. “With Franco, with his injury that we had, it’s a good option to have in the back of your mind.  He can play that position, that’s for sure.”
